Senior Art Director
At The Alchemedia Project, we are fearless foodies! We are seeking a talented SeniorArt Director to use creative design skills and conceptual ideation to produce materials for promotions, advertisements, films, packaging, informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlines. Participate in brainstorms and concept development. Manage projects from beginning to end, working closely with account and production while directing junior designers with clarity.

Develop creative communications for agency, client and new business initiatives.
Copilot with Copywriter and Development partners in the creation, identification and presentation of leading ideas from the agency team.
Maintain the creative direction and expectations for specific projects, ensuring they fit the client, brand and overall business objectives—and are cohesive across the entire campaign.
Be familiar with vendors and have the ability to work with a variety of product specifications.
Play an active role in strategic brainstorming sessions with Creative and Account leaders, offering creative solutions and presenting creative rationale aligned with the client’s objectives.
Work within a team environment and have the ability to collaborate.
Direct junior designers through execution with clarity and leadership.
Conceptualize and strategize agency initiatives.
Efficiently utilize Adobe CC and MS Office Suites.
Have a working knowledge of production, file preparation and formatting.
Stay self-motivated to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadline (manage time & budget effectively).
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate superior attention to detail and follow-through.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required
4-5 years of experience in similar industry
Proficiency in Adobe design suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, XD or motion a plus)
Demonstrates a proactive work ethic
Self-motivated to complete multiple tasks and projects on time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Sense of strategy, message, design and a portfolio that demonstrates it

The Sr. Art Director performs all tasks related to graphic design in support of Marketing efforts. Responsible for managing projects autonomously, completing assigned projects by the deadline, and working closely with account and production while directing Jr. Designers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design and Project Implementation
Responsible for design concept generation, layout, design, and photo selection for assigned pieces
Work on a wide variety of projects for in-store activation including but not limited to POS, direct mail, FSI, and web layout
Participate in project meetings with creative, account, production, and concepting team and be able to communicate the rationale behind design executions
Utilize available design software to manage project files from layout to print-ready
Manage creative team to meet job objectives within production and time constraints
Meet deadlines, expectations, and satisfactory completion on jobs assigned by Creative Director or Creative Leader
Work within program budgets, identify revenue-opportunities, and cost-savings while maintaining client relationships
Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications, or Journalism
3-5 years of experience in similar industry
3-5 years of experience in Design or Director and a strong portfolio of professional creative work
2-4 years of experience in the consumer products, media, or agency business
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
Strong prioritization skills
Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained
Team building Skills
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
