Senior Account Manager - Amazon Vendor / Seller Central

We are seeking a highly dynamic Senior Account Manager as a business partner to support Beekeeper Marketing, our full service agency partnering with clients on the retail, marketing and supply chain portions of their Amazon Vendor and Seller Central businesses.

Reporting to our head of the Business Management group, the Senior Business manager role plays a crucial part in our continued growth and success. Senior Business Managers both manage their own clients’ Amazon accounts and lead a team of client-facing business Managers, Associates and Coordinators also. Excellent project management skills as well as poise, confidence and strategic thinking go a long way in this role.

This role requires experience with Amazon Vendor or Amazon Seller Central. Marketing agency experience is also required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing clients’ e-commerce accounts (vendor and seller central) to deliver world class growth by planning & executing all Amazon sales levers - products, pricing, promotions, content, relevancy, etc. Are you a detailed, analytical project manager able to work independently to prioritize and multitask?

  • Communicating with and presenting to clients regularly as their account executive and main point of Beekeeper contact - we are strategic business partners for our clients and each one varies in size, category and growth. Have you worked with clients before and understand the flexibility and nimbleness required?

  • Leading the team to be accountable, collaborative partners to our clients and the rest of the organization. Managing the team through change, setting them up to be successful and being supportive as they grow. Have you managed people well before?

  • Keeping up and institutionalizing the changes in our fast paced world of e-commerce. Have you worked with Amazon before comfortable with their speed of change? Do you love consumer products trends and truly want brands to succeed?

  • Actively engaging in company culture and leadership, driving a fun, positive, virtual work environment that is scalable, collaborative and results oriented. Qualifications :

  • We are looking for the perfect blend of Amazon/e-commerce sales experience, agency experience, consumer product industry experience and team leadership experience

  • Strong communication skills, presence and confidence a must

  • Proven track record for delivering results, rising to the challenge and being part of a fast growing company is definitely a plus

  • High level of proficiency in Google sheets/slides/docs or Office equivalent

  • Experience and success working from home as part of a virtual, remote culture. This includes a dedicated, quiet space as the role is not suitable for coffee shops or those without child care.

  • Experience managing a team a must

  • Must be ok to travel to expos, clients & company offsites up to 25% of the time.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

About Beekeeper Marketing:

Beekeeper Marketing, was founded in 2007 to help great natural/organic/specialty consumer packaged goods companies (grocery, pet, and health/personal care) reach their sales potential on Amazon. We are a full service agency who partners with clients on the retail, marketing and supply chain portions of their Amazon Vendor and Seller Central businesses. We were recently acquired by Advantage Solutions and Marketing, but still remain scrappy and entrepreneurial. Our entire team of 50+ works remotely from their homes, but gets together often and keeps connected via Slack.

Responsibilities

The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.

Position Summary

The Sr Account Manager as a business partner is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with teams and clients. The Sr AM will be the liaison, acting as a point of contact and will help provide solutions, training and project management to help deliver outstanding results. The Sr AM must have the ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment and be able to make decisions and meet stringent deadlines.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaison - Work closely with client and management as the primary point of contact to ensure appropriate communication is delivered in an accurate, timely and consistent manner.

  • Troubleshooting –Ensure all issues are properly escalated to the appropriate department. Provide feedback to and consult with the team and/or Client when needed regarding changes that need to be made.

  • Training and Education – Assesses and addresses training needs regarding existing and new software functionality.

  • System Platform and Configuration – Participate in new software release testing and validate the accuracy of the database after each enhancement release.

  • Project management: Act as a project manager on behalf of the client/team by leading the project from conception to completion.

  • Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing/customer service role

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Process oriented/strong follow-up/ highly organized approach to managing/prioritizing tasks and day-to-day activity

  • Independent self-starter

  • Very strong communication and leadership skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and clients

  • Team player with ability to collaborate and communicate with IT and/or business

  • Strong analytical thinker to assist in trouble shooting and managing retail technical and data issues

  • Comfortable and conversant with technology- very familiar with IPad, smartphones etc.

  • Project management of small to medium size project plans

  • Comfortable training or presenting in front of groups of people

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Templates)

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Power Point)

  • MS Access knowledge a plus

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
