Vice President Customer Insights and Analytics

The Vice President Customer Insights and Analytics is a pivotal executive role, responsible for leading the organization's insights and analytics functions to drive business growth, optimize performance, and enhance customer relationships. This role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and leadership to ensure that data-driven insights inform all aspects of business decision-making.

Position Summary: The Vice President of Insights and Analytics is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for leading the Experiential/Demo organization's insights and analytics functions to drive business growth, optimize performance, and enhance customer relationships. This role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and leadership to ensure that data-driven insights inform all aspects of business decision-making. Supporting experiential business by getting customers to try products, instore sampling, samples delivered, events and retail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive insights and analytics strategy that aligns with and supports the company's overall business objectives. Lead cross-functional teams in the development of advanced analytics models and tools.

  • Sales and Marketing Analytics: Oversee the analytics behind sales and marketing efforts, including customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and demand forecasting. Ensure that insights inform sales planning and execution of demo initiatives.oversee post-event reporting and ROI measurement based on the org structure

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Champion the use of analytics and data-driven insights across the organization. Develop policies and procedures for data governance, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data. Through data and insights collected, create and form new offerings/products.

  • Team Management and Development: Lead a diverse team of 10 to 15 analytics professionals, including direct and indirect reports. Create and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, marketing, and finance teams to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet their analytics needs. This is a client facing leadership position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or related roles, with a significant portion in leadership positions.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing analytics strategies in a B2B environment.

  • Deep understanding of sales operations, pricing strategies, and marketing analytics. Bring statistical analytics, identify trends and patterns to bring insights of the market.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at the executive level.

  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in team building and talent development.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Mastery of analytical tools, such as Nielson, Circana and IRI and methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of sales planning processes and trade management systems.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

  • Strong work ethic and goal-driven mindset.

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

  • Office / Sedentary Requirements as primarily an office-based role.

  • Travel may be required, up to 20%.
