Summary
The Account Manager serves as the initial focal point in charge of all daily demo placement activities for the adult beverage client-based National Demo marketing services. Responsible for aligning daily activities to the company’s strategic goals, implement programs (events) on behalf of the account, execute the account plan, maintain account relationship, track reporting, oversee invoicing and third party agency activities, and monitor demo placement activity against account expectations. Results will be obtained through effective planning, influence building, and use of resources.

Position Summary

Results will be obtained through effective planning, influence building, and use of resources.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Protecting Accounts
Gather and monitor account intelligence, document account plans using appropriate template(s), and collaborate with Account Services team on forecasts
Cultivate and develop trusted advisor status with account, and protect and expand accounts
Manage deployment readiness and resource alignment by ensuring accurate understanding of mutually agreed account deliverables (e.g., terms and conditions, service-level agreements), and ensure knowledge is dispersed amongst personnel engaged in post-sale activity (e.g., operations, field execution)
Create and Close Opportunities
Target opportunities, conduct interest building calls when applicable, and gain account interest
Clearly identify account expectations and use the knowledge of alternatives to reach mutually agreed deliverables (especially regarding compliance and consumer engagement deliverables); effectively ensure that all deliverables are communicated to and measured by the Account Services team
Qualify opportunities, develop winning proposals, and build business justification cases to expand revenue and profit
Collaborate closely with Account Services team on developing new value for accounts
Maintaining Accounts
- Successfully present reports (i.e. weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews) to all necessary stakeholders to review and improve business impact
Coaching for Sales Results
Observe direct report behavior to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement
Balance corrective with positive feedback to ensure optimum guidance and performance improvement
Leverage motivation as a key enabler of sales performance
Demonstrate and mentor expected sales and service behaviors
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports
May hire, retain, train, coach, guide, direct, and develop direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
1-3 years of experience in sales or sales support role
1-2 years of project management experience

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
