SixSpeed is a purpose-built integrated marketing agency, offering a core set of capabilities that drive transformational connections, ultimately inspiring people to take action. We are currently seeking an Associate Producer for our amazing, growing team.
An Associate Producer is the logistical brain and boots on the ground for all experiential, photo and video productions, translating conceptual energy and creative intention into action. This person will help serve as the project conduit for all event and capture productions, stitching into the ideation, development, execution and delivery phases of the project. Additionally, they will be master communicators, connectors, and collaborators across our internal teams and external production partners.
*Although our Minneapolis office is accessible, we are open to hiring fully-remote candidates for this position.
THE TASK AT HAND
Assist in production-related roles to properly support planning and onsite needs
Contribute to the development of production scope and deliverables, and contribute to the development of production estimates, plans and timelines
Lead small-scale projects and work on complex projects with the support of senior staff
Research, coordinate and secure external vendors, contractors and estimates
Discuss production plan and associated timeline for implementing deliverables with project team and hold yourself to adhering to established plans and timelines
Actively participate in and contribute to internal production status meetings
Gain an understanding of the budget throughout the life of the project
Support activation with an eye on quality execution
Maintain a flexible attitude and approach
Controlling / Variance Management
Maintain working knowledge of the production budget
Coordinate and secure third-party vendors and quotes
Monitor and manage production expenses throughout the project
Contribute to budget reconciliation comparing production expenses on the P&L to the budget
Contribute to a post-activation report, identifying wins, learnings and opportunities
WHO ARE YOU
Bachelor's degree in Art, Communication, Marketing or other related field
Entry-level experience in the advertising or marketing industry

The role of the Production Manager is to lead the day to day operations, procurement negotiations, presentation, and development of client assets, giveaways, signage, print collateral and field support services for new business opportunities and existing accounts.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Solicit, negotiate and analyze bids from vendors in order to secure most favorable quality, innovation, pricing, shipping, and scheduling. Submit quotations for customer pricing and internal budgets.
Review cost estimates against budget to identify variance opportunities
Direct and coordinate production schedules on all dashboard projects
Work with management, client services and operations to proactively manage projects to budget and identify unique areas for savings
Ability to communicate status and meet outlined deliverables of all projects at all times including daily maintenance of project dashboards, project review meetings and collaboration with client presentations
Organize and maintain all folders and hard copy library resources and archives
Source, introduce and secure design and exhibit resources that develop value and innovation communicate unique findings with team
Source, negotiate and secure national, regional and local equipment, exhibit and supply vendors, identifying unique solutions, photographers, best in class pricing and cost saving methods for improvement
Identify and attend approved trade exhibits, shows and regular company field programs to develop and maintain knowledge base
Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
